“Brrrrrrrrrrrring!”

“Okay, everyone, your reports on the history of Darkness Falls are due tomorrow, so add any finishing touches tonight!” yelled Mrs. Tortelli as children filed out of her classroom.

“Kaylie, what was your ‘exciting’ main event in your report? Mine was the building of Thomas Jefferson Elementary, 30 years ago,” declared Hana.

“Well,” said Kaylie,” Mine was about that so-called ‘haunted’ house. Ha! Think about it, as if ghosts really existed.

“Sure… You, the biggest scaredy-cat ever, don’t believe in ghosts?

“Hey, don’t be mean! A school building isn’t that exciting, either. Now hurry up, or we’ll be late for class.”

With that, they both hurried to Room 211, English.
